Former SLYB star selected in Major League Draft

Former South Lexington Youth Baseball star player, Ryan Fucci, has been selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 2016 Major League Baseball first year player draft. 

Fucci, a power hitting centerfielder from Wright State, was chosen in the 25th round with overall pick 747.  Ryan starred at SLYB for the White Sox from 2002 to 2005 and was a 4-year starter on SLYB Major League All-Star squads. In 2016, Fucci led the Horizon League in both home runs (11) and runs batted in (64).
